Singlestack
I just sent Mrs SS's, SS to Ned Christiansen, the "Metal Master". We are having him do a grip reduction, install Wilson grip safety, and apply his very special "Truncamyrd" treatment to the front strap and MS housing. I've been on his waiting list for almost a year. This will bring to an end a 2 year long project and the result will be one very special Springfield 1911A1 .45 that has been built from the ground up for a Lady. It has been in the hands of 3 very good gunsmiths now and nothing will be stock on it when I get it back from Ned. I just custom guns. Now that I think about it, I'm almost sad it will be finished. Its ok though, I have another "blank canvas" to start on now(thats what I see when I look at a stock 1911). I can't wait to post a pic so yall can see it! This one will require some close ups. Here's a pic of "Truncamyrds". This is not Mrs SS's .45.

Singlestack
We recieved the pistol back from Ned today. I've been staring at it all day. I'm at a loss for words to describe Ned's work. Somehow even the word perfection seems to fall short. BrianH pretty much summed it up. Scary! Without the stocks and magwell, it will fit in a toilet paper tube. I'll try to get a decent pic up asap.
