novafla
In all fairness- I don't have an issue with S&W doing this... as it is in the IDPA rule book. But there should be some changes. If the rule book states 1 award/ 3 shooters, it should be honored at all matches if they are sanctioned. That being said, why would a High Press Award be given with only one shooter in the category? Additionally, in past years, when S&W only awarded the first 3 places in their "sanctioned" matches, they were functioning contrary to IDPA rules. What about the folks that finished 4th in their previous "Winter Championships"; if given, would you have put that award on your mantle? Following the published rules, should not be hard to do or to understand.

I guess you could still give them out (mail) but not tie up the entire award ceremony doing it that night.
