Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Alan Meek... GREAT JOB AGAIN. It is so nice to have an AD that pays attention to the membership in his area. Thank you for rotating the match into VA, where many of us are located. Finally, after years we can be within an hour of the match location. Reading the thread, it seems that ONLY the out of Area shooters are not happy with the location. We appreciate the hard work and convenience of the location. See you at the match. NoVaFla
  2. That is the same weekend that the Mid-Atlantic Sectional has been scheduled at Guthsville. Mike Mid-Atlantic Sectional...WOW a name from the past. Where is that announced? Is there any other information anywhere about that? Please post. Thank you in advance.
  3. If the rule book states 1 award/ 3 shooters, it should be honored at all matches if they are sanctioned. That being said, why would a High Press Award be given with only one shooter in the category? Additionally, in past years, when S&W only awarded the first 3 places in their "sanctioned" matches, they were functioning contrary to IDPA rules. What about the folks that finished 4th in their previous "Winter Championships"; if given, would you have put that award on your mantle? Following the published rules, should not be hard to do or to understand.
  4. Since this was a sanctioned IDPA match and the "Indoor Nationals", then I assume the awards policy is consistent with those of IDPA HQ and the rule book. An award for each 3 places per division/classification. Can anyone confirm that? I know that last year, the Match Director said they only went 3 places per division because it was their "tradition" to do so. For those of us that missed the awards ceremony..who knows the policy this year? Thanks.
  5. We appreciate the offer... It's very nice that others shooters are so willing to help out, but isn't the responsibility of the organization to produce a full and complete match; which means posting scores if not interim, then certainly final scores once they are official?
  6. Checking on the S& W website does nothing. The IDPA website kicks back to match announcements. We, that shot the match on Thursday and Friday, would appreciate knowing our scores and the final results. Peter Goloski was the MD. Aren't posting the scores in a timely manner part of running a good match? The IDPA Winter Nationals???? Usually, a national level match has results posted ASAP. Is it me, or are we missing something here?
  7. Anyone know where ALL THE SCORES are posted??? Big congrats Bob! I had a feeling that he'd win big after chatting with him last week.
  8. NICE POST, Great words, astute assessment, and just a wonderful, gracious and thoughtful competitor. You deserve all the success you get, you have our respect Shannon Smith. It's a pleasure knowing you.
  9. Passes issued??? With our ear to the track, rumor has it, that Colonel N C "Beauregard" Glover will be marching his troops northward through a small Pennsylvania village on the way to Sringfield, Massachusetts. Leading their advance is that dangerously accurate masked man with the earrings and tattoos , along with his trusted sidekick, Dollar Lucas. Beware the Masked Man and this Tar Heel contingent. Issue no passes, or they will return with the all the booty from S&W and pillage the Springfield Armory. They must be stopped at the border, or it will prolong the rebellion. So, the open Thursday slots were meant just for revo shooters? 1911onr - No Sir. As stated, I posted in the wrong section. I intended to specifically encourage revolver shooters. All are welcome. gb32 - Your passes have been issued - I'll trade you a lifetime pass for a bottle of that magical Peach elixer. A reevolver is one who has evolved before and is doing so again. Best Regards, Craig
