BillD
Can you cut the stock on these an inch or so? Or do they make a youth stock for them? I'm looking to upgrade from my 1934 Rem. Model 11.
Larry White
You can shorten it just like any wooden stock. You will have to epoxy wooded dowels or some wood blocks in at the heel and toe to put the screws into.--------------Larry
fatcat
You can actually shorten the factory stock up to the point just before the recoil spring column. Be aware as you are shortening the stock, the butt plate area is being reduced. I have experienced that wood sometimes has a hard time adhering to the plastic fiber stock material. I have used a more "like" material and glued it with Accur-Weld from Brownells.
