G-ManBart
I've got a cherry 4" nickle M57-0. Eat your hearts out. It's my BBQ gun. Oh, that's SO not fair
shred
FWIW I traded a 3" .41 Mag for the Trail Boss. Finally found some guy that loved the .41 Mag and had to have it. Then some guy with a 3" 610 found some 10mm freak that had to have it..
Ron Ankeny
I don't have much to add other than I bought a 3" Trail Boss specifically for carry in grizzly bear management areas. One of my snowmobiling buddies just happens to be the firearms trainer for the bear management team around these parts and he pointed me in the right direction for ammo. The team uses some whomp-em-stomp-em bear loads from Randy Garrett featuring his Hammerhead bullet. Here's a link to his site, Garrett Cartridges After talking with folks I know who work for a living in bear country, (Game Wardens, biologists, Forest Service Packers, etc.) I gave up the .44 magnum in favor of bazzzilllion heat unit bear spray as the first line of defense. I am betting my life (literally) on spray and other preventative measures to keep the bear off of my butt. Of course, a firearm is more apt to get a bear off of your butt if preventative measures are not employed or fail.
