Guninhand
I have a chance to use some factory Winchester 45 GAP 230 grn FMJ in an upcoming match and won't get an opportunity to chrony it beforehand. Does anyone know the power factor from a 4 inch barrel, or any barrel, for that matter?TIA
Steve J
This should be close. Hope the link works for you. It lists both FMJ and JHP. They also have the ballistics for WinClean 230gr, but I didn't add that to the comparison. I imagine the velocities will be lower in a revolver than in the labratory tube. Keith
I've used my Glock 37( 4.5" barrel?) in matches before and it's come right in just shy of 200 PF with Winchester 230 ball ammo. If memory serves correct it was about 195-197 PF.
Guninhand
Thanks guys. With my 45ACP reloads at 172PF, it looks like I'll have to put the GAP in the back-up pile.
get2now
My G37 chrono'd at 194 PF. It's definitely got some kick to it. Gary
