boo radley
%&*(#&*$ <say 1k times: I will never clean guns outdoors, again....I will never.....> Anyway, removed the striker plate carelessly, while cleaning my G35, and that tiny white plastic piece ( I think it's called a 'spring loaded bearing') shot into the weeds. It's the piece that fits into the plunger spring. My question is, does this piece have a function beyond making it easier to replace the striker plate? eric nielsen
The gun will probably work without the bearing, as long as you get the cover back over the spring. But... If you start to have extraction problems, you'll know the reason.

jbullgpd
its a cheap piece and i wouldnt run it without it, gives the extractor enough tension to work.

A-shot
When you're taking off the plate, keep that thumb over the top to prevent parts flying...
