It's been so long since I tried the stainless chamber brushes I have forgotten whether the brushes were in motion before I turned on the drill. SmallPaul had me wondering whether I should give it another try, but then I probably would have had to write and tell a story about how I snapped off a third chamber brush in my gun!!!
