WA Infinity 5" Airsoft

Recommended Posts

I'm thinking about buying a Western Arms Infinity 5" Airsoft gun for training. It looks like about the closest thing to the STI Tactical .40 which I shoot in Limited. I have been using a WE High Capa 5.1, and it's worked pretty well, but it seems to get cold fast and performance drops off.

Where is the best place to buy this? Are there any recommended modifications? Is the high flow valve the only thing I have to install to run green gas or propane through it, or do I need a metal slide?

WE's are notorious for the cooldown effect. Here's some info on the WE:

If you decide to get the WA, here's info on how to tune/mod it for propane use:http://www.airsoftforum.com/board/index.ph...ic=30396&hl

I've installed a metal slide on a TM Hi-CAPA. It was a pain in the ass, but the gun works.

You could get a stock TM Hi-CAPA which will work on propane, even though propane is not recommended by TM. For the WA, you will have to mod it for propane.

I'd recommend getting your airsoft gun at

Dentrinity might have a WA already cusomized to handle propane.

WE mags will not fit WA.

Most of the after market parts were made for 1st generation (none SCW/Brown box). First generation of SCW will still take a metal slide of the 1st generation with a lot of modification but it's almost impossible for later SCW generations to take metal slides for early ones.

The slide for non SCW will last quite long even with green gas. SCW slides are easy to break so you'll need at least a stronger spring.

Check eBay if you are looking for early generation of WA SV.
