  2. I have quite a few SPS mags (both 170 and 140) that were tuned by Bevin @ Grams Engineering and they never gave me any trouble in both 9mm and 38 Super if I keep them clean. Grams guts and 7mm pads are used with the tubes and I get easy 29+1 in 170 mags. You might want to give him a call and see if he can help with your SPS tubes.
  3. 9mm & 40 bullets in stock!
  4. I like at least 7 or 8 lb spring for steel gun and anything less I get feeding problem when the gun is dirty. The Millennium gun was built for major. To use it for steel, a firing stop with a very sharp angel was used. Same trick was used on a Barsto open gun for steel and I believe also on Mike Voigt's steel gun. Bob @ Brazos Custom wrote a very good article for Front Sight on this topic and the link is http://www.brazoscustom.com/magart/0907.htm
  5. The EGW 38 Super was using 95 gr bullets from either Zero or MG. The Millennium Custom was using 115 gr to get the 140pf for falling steel and 95 gr for Steel Challenge type of match. I don't know the the pf when 95 gr was used. Also made a mistake there. 3n37 was the powder used. I'm not sure about the steel gun Jojo built. I'll try to find out when I talk to the owner of that gun. The steel gun built by Will O'hara was running 115gr. I'll try to find out about the Brazos 9mm but believe it was 115gr. Jeffrey
  6. Weight of the spring is determined by different factors. Load pressure, slide weight, barrel weight, comp material, firing pin stop angle, main spring weight, and some others. I have some examples... 9mm Steel gun built by Jojo Vidanes - Trubor w/ fluted barrel & N320 @ 130pf - 5lb spring Brazos ProSX 9mm no holes - Trubor/Thundercomp & 3n37 @ 135pf - 7lb spring EGW Steel gun 38 Super - bushing barrel/cone comp & N320 @ 100pf - 6lb spring Millenium Custom 9mm - bushing barrel/cone comp & N320 @ 140pf - 8lb spring Will O'Hara 9mm Steel gun - bushing barrel/cone comp & IMR 7625 @ 135pf - 6lb spring
  7. I hope it makes sense. This might be the easiest/cheapest way to test recoil spring. In Govt model of 1911, 1.625" is the spring length when the slide is in full recoil. I took a guide rod and Sharpie to mark the point where the spring will be compressed to 1.625" as in first picture. As in 2nd picture, I put a 7lb spring to the guide rod, and on a food scale, I push the plug until it reached the line I marked with my Sharpie. This simulates the spring in full recoil when the slide bottoms out. The reading on the scale should show the spring weight at full recoil in a Govt model of 1911.
  8. I use 17lb with my competition guns. Works well with WSP, WLP, and WSR primers.
  9. I do remember seeing DAA made an insert for Para so it should work with P16.
  10. If you can find a new SV frame, send it to Bob @ Brazos and I'm sure he will build the ProSX with it. That's what he told me last time. I really don't know too much about IMM, but I do know few things about Brazos guns. Bob spend time talking with the shooters. My girlfriend has hands that are much smaller even than average female. Bob traced her hand, and cut the frame to fit her hands. She shot quite a few different STI/SV from various builders in the past few years, and the ProSX is still by far her favorite gun. I remember Bob talked about MOA size of CMore, and he helped me to make the decision based on the age of my eyes, typical distance we shoot here, how fast I could find the dot, and also the number of sunny days based on my geographical location. Although most ProSX look the same there are some minor differences including where the gun is lightened externally and internally. Combines with individual shooter's ability and other parts used that's how Bob get the balance right for each shooter. Bob also put in A LOT of efforts into his "Pro Tuned" parts. I don't know enough to talk about the details but I can tell you they work better than 99.9% of the parts I tried in a 2011 platform. I think the best thing to do (as everyone already mentioned) will be calling Bob and/or Brandon and discuss what you want to build. I'm sure you'll be happy with guns build by either one, but Bob was my choice. And I'm 100% happy with that decision.

  12. Anyone saw this SVI mount copy? http://redwolfairsoft.com/redwolf/airsoft/Accessories_Scope_Rails_Mounts_AEP_GBB_Airsoft_Surgeon_Infinity_Style_Carbon_C_MORE_Mount.htm It is made by Clarence Lai of Airsoft Surgeon. Other than the round screws on sides and only 2 mounting points for C-More it looks like the original one. I saw it a while ago with a fake C-More on a airsoft. Does it hold up to what you shoot?
  13. I use the same tool with a torque wrench set at 8 ft.lbs. Worked extremely well and the result looks professional. Jeffrey
  14. Lee makes U dies and you can order by calling them. EGW buys Lee U dies and machines the bottom of the die off so it will size lower on brass.
  15. Talked with Cathy of CR Speed at SHOT Show. She said the price of outer belt will be almost the same as the outer/inner combo and that's why they don't sell the outer belt only.
  16. My KISS bullet feeder stopped working earlier this morning. I PM'ed Rick and got a call from him in few hours. It ended up to be the fuse and he is sending me a replacement fuse. Great customer service and great person to talk to. I did have a short conversation with him. He told me that he will start to resume shipping the bullet feeder really soon. I have few friends wanting to get their own but it was not available for the last few months. Last time he also mentioned to me that he had some improvements over his original design so we should see these on the new shipment. Also he got a new website http://www.mrbulletfeeder.com in case anyone is looking for his contact information.
  17. Just saw Dillon is replacing CV-500 tumbler with CV-750. Does anyone know the differences between those two models?
  18. Powder Valley got N105 sitting in their warehouse for the last few months but they were not able to ship them because of some HazMat problem. I think now they have the issue resolved.
  19. Powder Valley got N105 in stock when I checked their website earlier today.
  20. Check HERE for their belt size ordering information. I'm using belts 2" bigger than my pants size.
  21. I believe Briley made some CZ barrels before. Will a 9mm CZ75B barrel work in 9mm SP01?
  22. Springfield uses grips from Mil-Tac. Check the following link for pictures... http://www.mil-tac.com/grip_patterns.htm
  23. I heard that people at Barsto don't plan to have another run of CZ barrels unless they have enough people to commit 50 barrels.
