nhglyn
Question I always wanted to know but never asked.......... what do each of the 3 fingers on the sear spring do? Looking at it from behind. Thanks. Edited April 1, 2007 by nhglyn
Matt Cheely
It's actually called the sear spring. The mainspring is what resides in the mainspring housing and pushes on your hammer strut. Left finger controls the sear, middle is for the trigger return and disconnector. The right is the beavertail and often has no job to do on many competition guns with the beavertail being pinned. nhglyn
Geez.......... thanks Matt. I actually knew it was the sear spring but my brain and fingers did not co-ordinate! I have corrected the post.
