Cuz
Can someone tell me what the standard recoil spring weight is for a Glock 17L? I want to install an ISMI captured guide rod and ISMI recoil spring that is just one step down from factory. Looks like ISMI make an 11, 13, 15, and 17 lb spring. Which should I use. Also, is the recoil spring assembly the same for the Glock 17 and 17L? Thanks, -Cuz.
SA Friday
the spring weight and assemby are the same for the 17, 22.24.34.35 and the 17L. they all come stock with the same 17 lb spring and polymer captured recoil rod. The 17L and 24 have heavier slides than the 34 and 35, and I'm running a noncaptured rod and a 15 lb spring in my G24. I would not recommend going lower than 15 lbs ISMI or a 14 lb Wolfe, or you might have issues with the slide not wanting to lock-up. In my 34 and 35 I run 13 lb springs.
