Rufus The Bum
After the buzzer went off, I drew and pulled the trigger and all I heard was "Click" I racked the slide, pulled the trigger again and all I heard was "Click" Needless to say, the crowd was rolling because I had forgotten to load a magazine, I dried fired 3 or 4 times before I thought I was ready. They were a kind hearted bunch and gave me a reshoot, I think out of pity.
SiG Lady
Whew, I feel better now. (Reminds me of the day I ate the fortune cookie, fortune and all.) I've seen a couple of weird things happen in our indoor league (both before and after the buzzer), but nothing quite like this. Bold of you to share it. Jake Di Vita
Been there, done that. As a matter of fact, I not only dry fired it a few times, but tapped and racked twice too.
Steve Anderson
Wait til you become a contender, the reshoots dry up quick. SA
IPSC CHIK1
when ROing a new shooter, if i see they have not seated a magazine i will ask "are you SURE you are ready?" usually this will tip them off that something is not right. for experienced shooters i let it slide. we have all done range sillies and we DO want newbies to have fun and come back!! mcoliver
Once I saw an RO ask a new shooter if he was really ready (because he didn't rack) and he said "Oops"... then checked his fly (only God knows why)! RO said "really?!" (now grinning). Shooter looks down again (guess where) says "Yes ready!"
