Maybe someone here does have the answer you need, but you're going to have to do a better job of asking the question. Lee
Frunta_sti
OK. I followed the guidance as per manual. Computeritself makes a sound like it would know about the timer, but program keeps scanning all the time and does not find the timer. However- my mate tried the timer with his computer and it works, so there is no probolem with the timer, but with the PC or a software.

Just a guess, but do you, by any chance, have something else that links to your computer, something like a PDA or similar? If so, the software may be occupying the port your timer needs for communication. Make sure other software is turned off (find it in the systray in the lower right corner of your screen, right click and exit) and see if that helps. shred
Last time this happened to somebody on here, the OS gave the timer something ridiculous like COM 14. Poke around in the Windows Device Manager, Port (COM and LPT) settings for it (the timer shows up as a USB serial port on my system), and try a reasonable number like COM 3 or COM 4. Frunta_sti
Actually, I link my PDA with the computer, so there might me the problem. As far as COM- it goes for COM3, but I will deffinitely try to work around the PDV thing. Thanks a lo, DVC Dave
