Ask for Meredith Sapp. Shes in charge of the firearms coating division. They do high volume coatings for SIG and some other company I can't remember. I saw a stainless SIG the other day coated with the IONBOND technique and it looks pretty good. She did say if you want a polished look, the base metal needs to be polished. flat, matte look and the base metal needs to be sand/bead blasted. I'm gonna have a few of my projects coated by them but it won't be any time soon. Give her a call. Shes very helpful. from another DLC related post. They're one of Taran Butler's sponsors.
