ranger Posted March 30, 2007 Share Posted March 30, 2007 Without being too specific - the new ACH helmet is a much better helmet than the previous Kevlar helmet (the infamous K-pot). Yes, I also wore the steel helmet before it was replaced with the K-pot. The ACH is much more comfortable with its padding system and the improved chin strap system keeps the helmet in place when you are firing from the prone position. I wore the new ACH daily for a year in Iraq and I am very glad I had the ACH versus the K-pot. There is an upgraded chin strap system and pads that can be added to the older style Kevlar helmets to imptove their comfort. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
