the duck of death
I'd like your opinion on the Nowlin Match Classic and the Crusader in 9mm and 45ACP. Nolin offers hard chrome, do they do a good job? The 9mm would be for play IDPA/ESP. The 45ACP for carry thus the question about the HC.

Jeffro
"Duck", It isn't that I wouldn't help you with the info, I just don't have any experience with the Nowlin. Hang tight, SOMEONE will come through for you. If not, you might try "www.Pistolsmith.com" and ask the question there. If you haven't been there, the site is just O.K., but just doesn't seem as much "at home" as the folks on Brian's site. This site just feels like home. Patrick Sweeney
Sorry I'm late. I tested a Nowlin for the book (Gun Digest book of the 1911) and of all the high-zoot guns it is the one i was most tempted by and least eager to send back. The fit is beautiful, the accuracy superb, and the hard chrome. Well, I didn't know it was a hard chrome gun until I happened to look at the invoice. No sharp edges, it would be a great carry gun.
