dave pasos
Does anyone own one and what set-ups do you have. I was thinking of getting one. thanks
kellyn
I have an MIA built for highpower. It is on a springfield receiver and has a heavy douglas air-gauged barrel, steel bedded in an mcmillan stock, national match parts (trigger, sights, gas system, flash hider, etc). I have never shot it in a 3 gun match though. I am not sure that M1As are up to the pounding of 3 gunning. When I used to shoot "rattle battle" (the Infantry trophy team match), we were constantly shooting our M14s apart. I really like shooting M1A/M14 but I think that a DSA FAL or an AR10 carbine might be a better choice for 3 gunning. But the AR15 is trully the way to go. kellyn
Updated info on M1As. Leatham is going to shoot one at the WC 3-gun championship. I'll find out how he is setting his up for the match.
dave pasos
That should be interesting. I bet it in 243! I'll be waiting. thanks
kellyn
Under SOF rules, the rifle must be chambered in a military caliber so .243 is out. I would not be surprised if he shows up with a 6.5X55 swede!
