Loves2Shoot
Some observations that have come from watching student "not get it." 1. All A's as fast as you can "call the shot" is underrated. 2. Spray and Pray for A's is not the same as seeing that every shot will hit in the A box. 3. When you change the focus of the drill (A's versus time) the shooting changes too. 4. Relying on the "index" for the first shot to hit the A box is not as reliable or acurate as aiming. 5. If you can't do it three times in a row cold you probably had a "moment" so don't rely as that time as your "par." 6. If you put no shoots around the A zone and do a bill drill and the times aren't identical, then you might want to think about why you are training yourself to pull the trigger without knowing where the bullets are going to go. Just a few thoughts. Edited July 7, 2006 by Loves2Shoot
XRe
That's good stuff, Scott. I like to take a target, and cut out the A-zone, then lay that over the target as a no-shoot....
AikiDale
I've painted a steel IPSC target white then used a paper target with the A zone cut out as a stencil and painted the zone brown.
