dfwmiket Posted June 26, 2006 Share Posted June 26, 2006 I just wanted to add to the "what I like" area with this one- wife and I went down to San Antonio for a work conference on Fri, so stayed over and decided to make a weekend of it and shoot the River City Shooters "Summer Shootout" match. We had a GREAT time, put some names and faces together ( squadded with some Enosverse members! Great to meet and squad with Mark and Tracy!!) and met more nice folks that enjoy the game as much as we do. For those of you who missed it, the match ROCKED!! 7 stages, and good mix-poppers,stars,doors, hallways, catwalks, picket fences, etc. You name it, you probably saw it. I had Sunday off, no exciting plans and an itchy trigger finger. Sunday morning, 5am, I was still unsure if I wanted to make the 3+ hour drive... but I did and I'm glad I did!!! I could have done without the million degrees and instant dehydration... but the quality of the match made it well worth the suffering... Many thanks to the crew who put it on! Odd things happen when comparing these Combined results to the By Division results. Sometimes the 'Order of Finsh' changes. Normaly this only occurs when two shooters have very similar scores in the By Division results. This is because a different High Hit factor was set for stages in the Combinded results. This is a normal occurance, but it takes more of a math whiz than me to explain. Match was a blast, luckily I kept hydrated. Millennium disclaimer: I know better than to use Armscor Super Comp brass... I simply didn't have any match ammo loaded. Sharyn Posted June 30, 2006 Share Posted June 30, 2006 Do you shoot Super or Super Comp? Armscor always jams in my gun (as shown twice in those videos). I've never had any trouble with Starline. A friend gave me a bunch of Armscor brass for Christmas... I use it for practice, but I didn't have any match ammo loaded before the last minute trip to San Antonio.
