Gary Johnson
Started teaching my son Chris to shoot as soon as he was old enough to do it safely. He didn't show much interest until recently. He turns 19 this month and we started shooting steel challenge matches a few weeks ago. He shot the first couple matches with a 22. That was fun but he wanted to try something bigger. He tried my G34 but didn't get along too well with it. He tried John Baier's Beretta and it was love at first sight. As luck would have it, a friend of mine was selling a 92FS and he made me a good deal. I put together a simple production rig and yesterday we entered a local match. I took him to the Kentucky State match two weeks ago and the IPSC-101 class at LGC on Saturday so he had a pretty good idea what to expect. He did very well. Lots of Alphas and decent times. Best of all, he did it smooth and safe. We're shooting the Indiana match this weekend. It's gonna be a great Summer.
