minnesota1
I just picked up an A-Bolt in 270 win. I plan on doing some reloading for it. I will use it mainly for hunting and plinking "Offensive things"! Anyway, I'll be hunting some deer with it but also a lot of hogs, etc. Any recommendations on bulllets? How about the best place, cheapest, to buy the projectiles? I already have a bunch of brass so if anyone has any loads they could recommend that would be appreciated as well. My brother in law has done some good damage with just Remington's core lock I think 130 grainers from Walmart. Thanks, Bob
Nebraskan
I have always used the Hornady 140gr BTSP for deer. They group well in my A Bolt II. Plenty flat shooting for me and still have good power. They are available most anywhere reloading supplies are available. Expect to pay about $16.00/100. I just picked up 2 lbs of VV N160 to work up a load now that I have a chrono. Don't recall the last powder used as I loaded them at a buddy's house four years ago.
