Tungsten Guide Rod For Sv Limited

Does anyone currently make a 5" guide rod heavier then 3.2 or so ounces. I would like to add a little forward static weight with out changing barrel etc.

any idea if it lasts longer than the other brands? i've heard friends' experiences having breakages since the tungsten is a bit brittle...thanks

Strayer Voigt has the better tungsten guide rod that shouldn't break. The tungsten end has the female end with the carbon end having the male, threaded end. These don't break like the ones with the threads on the tungsten end ( I've launched several downrange!). I believe they only have the 3 oz model now though.

Isn't Carter's guide rod a larger diameter rod requiring a different recoil spring?

so far the toughest tungsten rods are svi cominolli and egw. again it may break if not fitted properly.

I have 32000 through my svi pistol using a cominolli tungsten rod. IMO the recoilmaster breaks more easyly.
