Cuz
I'm using a copper coated 200gr flat point bullet. Can anyone provide a powder recommendation to get me safely up to the 1000 fps range? My load books all seem to top out at around 950. I was using Bullseye and WST for my .45 loads but I am willing to switch if necessary. I'm shooting a Colt Gold Cup with 5" barrel and a 625 Revo with 5.5" barrel. If possible I'd like the same powder to work well down to ICORE power factors so I will only have one powder for .45acp that will go from ICORE to Plates to Pins, all with the same bullet. Thanks, -Cuz.
wide45
Reloading info available online from both Hodgden, and Alliant show 1000fps loads.
Cuz
Reloading info available online from both Hodgden, and Alliant show 1000fps loads. Hmmm. Why weren't these in either of my loading manuals??? Thanks for the info Wide45. Looks like Blue Dot and Power Pistol powders will do it from Alliant and Longshot from Hodgdon. I've never heard of any of them except for the Power Pistol. Anyone got and positive feedback on any of the three above? Or maybe I should just stick with the trusted and familiar Bullseye and top off at around 960fps. -Cuz
