C1076USMC
I am really thinking about reloading. I fire mostly 9mm, 40 S&W, and .223. I have been collecting brass for the 40S&W from my local range. However, I have been perusing the forums and see a lot of talk about bulged cases fired from a Glock. Does anyone have a picture of what a typical bulged case looks like so I know what to look for? TBF
C1076USMC, Welcome to the forum ! For the most part the bulge is really only obvious after sizing , kinda looks like a baby belted magnum. The EGW dies will size further down the brass and get rid of the belt. If you see brass that is obviously deformed on one side , as opposed to more or less round , pitch it. Glocks seem to only do this in 40. HUGE chambers. Travis F.
Loves2Shoot
Look at the primer, it will have a rectangular stamp if it came from a Glock
JJarrett
Most of the bulges are so slight that they would be hard to notice in a picture. Usually the case has a noticable "bump" on one side towards the rear of the case. I normally toss those cases rather than taking a chance resizing them. 21 shooter
I have some once-fired .40 brass that measures .430-.432" near the base of the case. At what point should you file 13 .40 brass?
