Z-man
At our local IPSC match today, I learned a very valuable lesson. Before each stage I was airgunning through and planning out my reloads (production). Usually as I'm doing this, I'm counting my rounds as I aim and "fire" at each target. However, today I made an extra air-gun runthrough in which I didn't just point at each target but tried to visualize the exact sight picture I would see on each shot throughout the course. When it was time to actually shoot the course, I ran through with a great time and equally great hits, all of which landed exactly where I had visualized them. What was especially noticable were my shots on poppers. I didn't miss a single shot on steel, and they seemed so much easier than normal. It was a really neat thing to see, since I always visualize my reloads and the actual shots on the target, but never the actual sight picture for each shot. This is definitely something that I plan to do from here on out... it made a big difference
