I have a lways used winchester small rifle primers in.223. I have a bunch of federal small rifle primers on hand. Any diffrence or issues( such as 650 blow ups) useing the federal primer?------Larry

The top dawg High Power Rifle shooters around here all swear by them for .223.

They do say that they are a looser fit and have to be glued in with nail polish to keep them from backing out under recoil, but then again, these guys are running max+ loads and re-load their brass way too many times ;-)

The load data I discuss with them is exactly what I expect with WW primers.

I have run Federal sm rifle exclusively in my 650 for the last 8 years. It shouldn't be an issue.
