fishnfst
Just looking for pros and cons. I know I'm not supposed to use straight lead bullets, but how about the plated bullets? Like the Rainiers or the west coast bullets. Or should I just stick with the jacketed bullets? Any and all info would be much appreciated. JZ
I put 500 rds of Rainer plated 115grn 9mm thru my G34 last week. It shot just like the fmj and I had no lead fowling in the barrel after. If you can get it cheaper than fmj Shoot as much of it as you want, its doesn't effect the gun any different.
Flexmoney
Plated bullets are fine. Many shooters use them. (Edited by Flexmoney at 10:50 am on Mar. 19, 2002)

Bill
I have shot about 40,000 West Coast bullets through 2 Glock 17's with no problems. I like them a lot. I clean the guns every couple of months just because I think I should, not because they need it. Bill Nesbitt
