fishnfst
Just came back from chronoing a bunch of loads I made. I loaded 180grn west coast rnfp plated bullets over 5gr BE set off with a cci spp. I was wary of shooting them in my glock first so I started with a beretta. The beretta has a 4.9in barrel. The average velocity for the load was 860fps for 10 shots. I then shot the same load out of my sig. Average velocity of 875 fps. No excessive pressure signs so I decide to be daring and shoot them in my glock. Average velocity in my Glock was 942fps. Is this the norm? Do the glocks normally chrono faster than other handguns of the same caliber with the same load. I understand that the glocks have the polygonal rifling as opposed to standard land and groove rifling. Has anyone else experienced this? By the way the load grouped great and felt softer than the factory ammo I've been shooting. Doug
