Squirrel45 Posted July 26 Share Posted July 26 My 750s index ring has recently started to get hung up on the return. I polished the bottom of shell plate and also noticed that the pawl has a grove cut into it from the plates index hole. Once everything was polished it is running without hanging up. 4n2t0 Posted July 27 Share Posted July 27 I would need to see a picture but it sounds pretty normal. Mine is also slightly scored (650). Thanks I'll let you know when I see the picture if it looks similar to mine. Also, the crack usually occurs in the plastic indexing ring (pictured below), not the plate. Maybe that's what you meant, but I'm just clarifying. I've heard of people polishing the bottom of the shell plate, but I've never tried it myself.
