Reverendpdp Posted February 22 Share Posted February 22 I have a Witness Hunter (10 mm) that the hammer drops when I engage the slide release or rack and release the slide. When I removed the firing pin block, it no longer happened. The safety seems to work fine without the FPB. What are my solutions here? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Currywurst Posted February 26 Share Posted February 26 Make sure that the FPB can move freely. Maybe it has been peened by the firing pin. Possibly a too tightly set trigger stop could do that. However, in my case old dried low quality oil and cold weather was enough for rack-bang. Or just leave the FPB out. Put mine back in my old Witness only because of IDPA rules.
