mreed911 Posted October 2, 2023 Share Posted October 2, 2023 My custom holster for my M&P 5.7 w/TLR 1 + optic came in today. "Elephant gray" leather, OWB, with a one-way snap thumb break and one-way snap belt loops (to prevent rip-away from belts). Designed to fit a little higher than mid-ride and close-in, it'll be my EDC holster either under a cover shirt (usually), IDPA-style, or simply open (in places where that wouldn't be uncommon). Built by Ronin Leather, we went through a drawing/design process, leather choices, reinforcement choices, etc. before I committed and he built. Took about 4 weeks or so with some minor delays for "just life things," but nothing unreasonable from a custom maker. It's got a break-in procedure and I've started through that - will take a couple of days of sitting/drawing before it's ready for carry. Very, very, pleased with the quality and process.
