P10-F recoil spring

Does anyone know if you can use a 1911 govt recoil spring in these? I see on Ben Stoger s site he has a guide rod to run them. Wasn't sure if the stock ones could do the same.

What are you trying to achieve?  Recoil springs are cheap and to me play an integral part of the guns function with load development.

 

I use a 14# flatwire spring from Stonebridge gun works.  It's the W74 tungsten guide rod and spring.

Looking to run around 100pf for steel Challenge loads.

I would look at 14# recoil spring and 95gn 380 heads loaded into 9mm.  Years ago, when I experimented with this load, it was a bunny fart for steel challenge.
