PEG941
Anyone have issues with powder getting under the shell plate on a dillon 550C? My powder is WSF ball powder. I've got the dilloin thicker powder bar spacer, I've put a small rubber ban on the powder funnel to get the powder bar back quicker, I even pause on the upstroke to give the powder a chance to make sure it falls into the case (9mm) but nothing has worked After about 400 rounds the shell plate starts to stick due to the powder under neither. Extremely frustrating. Any suggestions
Postal Bob
Did you check your powder bars and spacers to see if there's any wear in them? I had a similar problem , that over time a small groove developed in the spacer bar. So powder would work it's way out between the bar and spacer. Got a new spacer, and problem solved. iflyskyhigh
Dillon has a black replacement part of the powder bar that has higher tolerances. Helps prevent leaks with finer powders. They’re give ‘em to you for free. I have a pic but it’s too big to upload. I’ll try again later.
