All Loaded Up For The Arizona Steel Challenge State Championship

Today the ROs get to shoot the match.  I've loaded up 4 loading blocks that hold 140 rounds each and about a dozen DS-10 Speed Loaders just in case there's a problem and I have to do any reshoots.  

 

Yesterday we spent the day setting up.  All the markers that have been in the ground for 3 years were pulled up when the range graded the bays to increase the size of the berms.  We had to laser and measure each stage over again and remark where the targets go. It took a lot more work than I thought to get everything up right.  

 

I'll be shooting my four inch Smith & Wesson 617 this year.  I really like shooting the revolver more than my Black Mamba and have scored faster runs with it.  I miss less.

 

Tomorrow is a practice day for anyone coming to the match and then the competition starts on Saturday.  Weather is supposed to be good all weekend with a chance of rain at night.
