First round accuracy

I was doing some load testing and noticed that the first round loaded when racking the gun is always like an off. I would have one high and right and four touching. I starting shooting the first round at my steel then shooting a five round group. My good groups were all touching after that. Is this normal? Criterion barrel aero parts.

With some guns yes not as common as it used to be these days. The first hand racked round seats a bit different than slide cycled rounds from firing

That’s what I figured it was. I tried to give it the sling shot to see if it made a difference but not really.  It was pretty consistent were the first shot would land.
