chp5
My gas tube inside my 20” AR upper seems to have some play in it (it moves slightly side to side). I don’t notice this much play in the gas tubes in my other two uppers. The AR runs 100% however (knock on wood). Should I worry about it? Thx. George
As long as it is centered on the carrier key and doesn't drag as it mates, then a little loose is OK. It's up front where the gas tube doesn't want any slop.
SRT Driver
Don't worry about it. X2 and don't try to clean out the gas tube either. Bad things can happen and your mojo exits the building.
George
The only way I clean a gas tube is with a shot of BrakeKleen from the receiver end followed with a patch through the bbl to push any swarf out.
