ErikW
How do I prevent my choke tube from coming loose? They specifically say not to use Loctite, to use a choke lube. So I used anti-seize, which is what those choke lubes appear to be. The damn thing is loose after nearly every 25-round stage. After my most recent cleaning, I thoroughly cleaned both threads and applied... Loctite. It'll probably get too hot and come loose, but it'll be no worse than before. (Slide Glide? Works for everything else. Naahhhh...) Well, the blue Loctite didn't work one bit. (Edited by Erik Warren at 11:42 am on April 4, 2002)
Dave Berryhill
Is the ID of the bottom of the choke smaller than the ID of the barrel where the two meet? Sometimes the choke is slightly smaller and the bottom of the tube slightly protrudes into the bore.
EricW
I know this is "wrong," but have you considered slightly deforming one of the threads on the choke tube about midway along the threads. That might act like a locking mechanism of sorts and keep you from using loads of goo on it. Considered teflon tape? It might tighten things up a bit too.
