Scout454
Last year I bought a Steyr Tactical Elite for MOR. The stock fits well and the rifle is accurate. I'd like to have a comp put on it - a JP Tank Brake comes to mind - but so far I have not been able to find a gunsmith that can do the work. The Elite uses the SBS action and the barrel has a shroud around it with a rail running half the length of the barrel. I can provide pictures of the rifle. If there is a gunsmith who reads this list and is familier with the action, or another shooter who knows one, please let me know. I have already contacted Steyr/US and they recommended shipping it back to Austria and having the work done there. While I have that option, if seems a bit extreme. John Dunn
I'd call JP, if they can't do it they can point you in the right direction.
Scout454
I talked to John. They need 20 inches of barrel to get it in the lathe. The barrel has to come out in order to thread it.
John Dunn
Try George Gardner at GAP.
