.38 Short Colt brass chrono report, 3.4gr Titegroup, 158 vs 160

Here's a couple of chrono reports using 3.4gr of Titegroup.

One is using 158gr Berry's flat point (plated), and the other is 160gr Bayou round nose (coated). Even thought the oal's are different, they're loaded to the same depth in the cartridge.

Shot thru my five inch 627

In my (limited) experience with coated bullets, they always chrono faster than plated bullets.

For some reason my 627 always needs 2/10ths of a grain more than any other gun to get the same velocity.

As always, consult a reloading manual before you start working up loads. Don't take anonymous information on the internet, especially from ex mini bike racers :)
