Anyone read D.T. Suzuki?

I just started reading Zen and the Art of Archery.  Herrigel recommends some works by Suzuki and I am intrigued by his Zen and the Samurai.  I can’t find any written versions, just audio.  Anyone know where I might find this?

Thanks,

Jeff

ah pete, I am gunna toss some advice at you...

Please put a good joke in the humor section and

try expanding your reading to include maintaining machinery.

Zen in this context is more of a training aide than a religious reference.

I've rebuilt wrecked airframes, gearboxes, machine guns, Supersport motorbikes, and a few tinker toys as well.  Still never understood how to set up a differential.

Kierkegaard is an existentialist.  He had many thoughts on the process, banality, and things we face in our lives.

As to jokes, they self write for people who think punching a paper/steel target is anything beyond a sporting hobby.

Hi Pete,

you have given me a zen gift...

I am pretty sure what I tried to say was not read.

Where I exist, I get a choice.  To assume
the sharing of thoughts or other's ideas is a struggle by itself.
A large hill of efforts to surmount as it were.

Should I have a a proverbial motor-cycle to climb that tall hill,
I would breeze up there and see a broad horizon as a reward.

To add to the clear air, I expect to meet someone also enjoying the scenery.

What I have is a pair of tired hiking legs and I am not sure
the wide vista available is sufficient reward.
so I will have to enjoy the walk without knowing
I might see a big shiny view.  I do hope others arrive there.

the advice I nudged at you was a very mild attempt
to let you know your post into a two year old thread
would get you attentions you may not want.

and finally, if a differential is a gearbox,
most are adjusted by shims to operational tolerances.

Shims are quite zen.
