Two Mikes
I'm returning back to my Dry Fire routine - a-la-SA and wanted to add a couple of drills to prepare for a GSSF match. Obviously, the plates drills in SA's book will help with the plates. How about GLOCKM and 5toGLOCK? Any ideas?
Steve Anderson
I don't shoot GSSF, but I would just set up the courses as best you can in your dry fire area, preferably with the targets a harder (smaller?) than they will be at the match. I like small paper plates for steel, and maybe a bullseye type target to replace the ringed targets? On the paper targets, you need to be able to see and "shoot" the center, not just "the target" so that's what I would try to approximate. Hope that helped a little. shred
GSSF is so accuracy-oriented you'll want to practice finding the exact center of the X-ring at the various distances, and then breaking a perfect shot each time. Get or make some brown cardboard NRA D-1s to dry-fire on. Also work in some low-ready starts.
johnhurd
GSSF just took a step forward instead of scoring + 0-0-2-5 it is now + 0-0-1-3 so lay em in there.................. on your starts elbows to ribs and gun parallel to the ground.
