Hooked
Hi all, I recently picked up a Hornady Cam Lock Bullet Puller to disassemble a bunch of 9mm rounds. I’m using the #9 collet. I can get the correct tension on the collet to pull the bullet, but I can’t get the bullet to drop out of the collet afterwards. I’ve had to reach in and pull the bullet out of the collet with a pair of needle nose pliers. Tried adjusting the tension a dozen different times but no luck. Any tips or suggestions on how to get it set up properly? Thanks in advance!
KyleJ
Are you rolling the cam all the way over when you pull it?

Hooked
The collet is too tight - even without any tension on it, the bullet won't drop free. Spread the collet out a bit and now it works better. Bullets drop free about 90% of the time now. Edited January 2, 2020 by Hooked
