Jess409
I recently bought a s&w 625 JM. I would like to buy a Apex “bobbed” hammer kit for it. However, I cannot seem to find a straight answer to the question “is it legal in ESR division”?. Josh Lentz (sponsored by S&W) uses one on his 625 JM for IDPA. Has anyone used one in a tier 3-5 match on there revolver and passed equipment check without any “investigation” from the SO’s or MD’s? Appreciate the help. racknrider
B. Action work to enhance trigger pull as long as safety is maintained (smoothing the trigger face, removing the hammer spur, use of over travel stop, conversion to DA only and addition of ball detent are considered action work and are permitted). 8.2.6.5 B seems to follow the description on the APEX website and indicates the it is legal for stock or enhanced revolver. Jess409
Thank you for the reply. I would bet that the person that’s wrote the IDPA rules previously worked at the DMV. Thanks again
