using AA #5, in 9mm. is it good?

To be honest, I've never used any powder that wasn't just fine in 9mm, with published 9mm data. Its all more accurate than factory bulk fmj. But faster powders definitely shoot softer, and you get more rounds per pound. 

 

I can't think of a compelling reason to use aa5 over aa2 for light loads.

AA5 was on sale ? everything else was sold out ? seems like for last 10 years we have all been playing,,,"good enough" with powder due to availability...  As mentioned earlier,, could also be a case of what else the loader loads and a medium powder bought in bulk might fill the shooters needs..
