I still have an ancient single stack Open gun that I put one of his carbon fiber mounts on when I first went to a scope. Pretty slick looking mount too. sperman Posted December 6, 2008 Share Posted December 6, 2008 I spent about an hour on the phone with George earlier this week talking about guns and his history in the sport. I always knew he was a great guy, but had no idea how influential he was to shooting. It sounds like he didn't get credit for a lot of his work because many of the shooters he worked with had sponsors that wouldn't allow them to admit they had work done by a gunsmith.
