Peter K
Hi, I´ve heard a rumour that the Hornady HAP´s which are sold in bulk packs are not made by Hornady? Is that true? Some folks says that the quality of the bullets which are packed in the small boxes (100 bullets/box) is far better than the bulk bullets. Is this true? Carlos
Have not heard that. However, the reloading company "Wideners" here in the US sells a brand of FMJ they call the "master match" which strongly resembles bulk Hornady FMJs. Anyone Know? BigDave
Master Match was a term used by Star Bullets here in Indy. I know that Wideners was one of their larger customers. I always thought that Hornady HAP bullets and Star JHP's looked similar, but I doubt if they are the same bullet (disclaimer, I've never loaded HAP bullets). shred
Hornady Bulk HAPs come to me shipped directly from Hornady, in Hornady boxes, with data, including BC's on their web site. I can't tell the difference in accuracy and the shape is extremely close to the XTP (and different from the old Star "Master Match"), so while I doubt it, who cares? I can think of at least 4 shooters, including me, shooting HAPs at the World Shoot, right off the top of my head.
