Bob H Posted October 11, 2002 Share Posted October 11, 2002 Got a Bushmaster AR a while back for having fun shooting 3 gun. Recently took the plunge and ordered a Jewell trigger and want to start shooting DCM Matches and 3gun. For the 3 gun I've been looking at compensator posts on this forum, but the only unthreaded comps I've found are the 2" long Smith and the 3.25 (too long to be IPSC legal) Y Comp from Bushmaster. I don't want to go to the expense of threading the barrel. Any other suggestions for comps? thanks in advance. Bob. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The only mod you need to do you your rifle is make some little dimples where those set screws hit the barrel. I've been using this break for the last two years and no problem with it flying off.
