rhed
I picked up 500 new .223 Lapua brass. And started to check case length with a Dillon case gauge. They are all consistent. Head is all flush with bottom step of gauge. So is case mouth. Assuming this is ideal length for a AR as I've read and learned. With the calipers, I'm reading any where from 1.750-1.754. Does the thousands #'s matter?
biglou13
I'd be more concerned with neck tension than Thousandths length. The are bigger fish to fry before that will be an issue.
DWFAN
Run them through a die to expand the case neck a little, and trim to be consistent length. I wouldn't set the shoulder back any, some Lapua is fairly short to begin with. Then load and shoot.

And then load. Guess I'll run it through my FL die to expand the neck. I'll be seating Sierra 77 grain TMK bullets through a Forster Micrometer seater die.
