BSE1911 Posted May 22, 2005 Share Posted May 22, 2005 just bought me another Colt National Match Mk III Mid Range .38 SPL Wadcutter pistol, mainly because of the 4 mags coming with it. The condition of the gun is quite ok, has an excellent trigger but the barrel is bulged. Would like to donate a new .38 SPL Wadcutter barrel to this pistol and don't want to use it as a source of spares for its sibbling. I checked with Clark, Numrich, Sarco, Buehn, KKM, Bill Jarvis, Ed Brown, Brownells. Sometimes I had a problem make them understand what I was looking for: Yes, we have that. Are you sure? .38SPL straight blow back, no lugs, but funny thread in the chamber, no barrel-link! Yes, we have .38 Super barrels. On my list is still Irv from Bar-Sto and Kart. More hints needed. Not even Colt Custom Service. Barrel-manufacturers: none but one sees fit to provide me with that barrel: The 38 Special Wadcutter for the Colt is a special order.
